Podcasting is more than getting behind a microphone. When connected to an individual’s interests, assessed needs and ISP goals, it can create meaningful opportunities to practice communication, technology, planning, collaboration, self-direction and confidence.
Practice expressing ideas, asking questions, listening, taking turns and participating in conversations.
Collaborate with peers, interview others, respond to different viewpoints and work as part of a team.
Explore microphones, recording equipment, computers, editing tools and other media technology with support as needed.
Choose topics, research ideas, prepare questions, follow a recording plan and work toward completing a project.
Choose whether to participate, what topics are meaningful and what role feels right—from host or interviewer to research, production or technology support.
Practice new skills and build independence at a pace shaped around the person’s abilities, preferences and goals.
Use community experiences, people, places and interests as inspiration for conversations and projects when appropriate.
The activity is used as a vehicle for meaningful skill development—not as a one-size-fits-all requirement.
Driving can be a life-changing independence goal. TeamPHCA turns that goal into a visible pathway and supports the individual through preparation, learning, practice and next steps based on readiness and applicable Pennsylvania requirements.
Courtesy transportation may be available for eligible Day Program participants located up to approximately 50 minutes from the facility, subject to route review, scheduling and fleet availability.
Our transportation approach is centered on dependable program access, thoughtful route planning and the needs of the people we support. The TeamPHCA fleet includes vans, minivans, SUVs and cars, giving our team flexibility when coordinating daily transportation.
Courtesy transportation is not guaranteed. Availability is determined through route review, scheduling, participant needs, distance and current fleet capacity.

Hive photography reflects adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participating in learning, creative, vocational and community-based experiences. Images are representative website imagery and are not identified as TeamPHCA participants.
Different goals. Different stages of adulthood. Different support needs. One program designed to keep the person at the center.
Staffing is planned around scheduled individuals and the supports needed for meaningful, safe participation.
Individuals with authorized enhanced staffing needs can receive 2:1 support consistent with their ISP and approved service arrangement.
Our adult program supports people at different stages rather than forcing everyone into one experience.
A next chapter centered on routine, friendships, community participation, skill development and future goals.
Individuals can connect their Day Program experience to college exploration, driving, work, volunteering and greater independence.
Program staff can coordinate with TeamPHCA clinical teams for individuals with more complex needs, based on assessed needs and the person’s plan.
Full-time programming is available Monday–Friday. The Saturday-only part-time pathway is currently presented as a waitlist option.
Families and Supports Coordinators have a direct program contact for questions, coordination and updates.
We get to know the individual and support team before making a plan to begin.
Start the Day Program services application and share your interest in Day Program.
With the appropriate release, the Supports Coordinator sends the current ISP for review.
We discuss a preliminary accommodation plan, goals, attendance and transportation needs.
Meet the team, explore the space and talk through whether the program is a good fit.
Complete the admission materials and physical form, choose a primary care provider or convenient urgent-care option as appropriate, and complete applicable county/service authorization. Authorization timing varies; about two weeks may be used as a planning estimate. Once the start is confirmed, TeamPHCA sends a welcome email with the Program Specialist’s direct contact information.
Enter your address to locate nearby urgent care centers that may be able to complete your physical.
For convenience only. TeamPHCA provides this search tool to help you locate nearby urgent care centers and does not endorse or guarantee any specific provider. Before scheduling or visiting, please confirm that the provider can complete the required physical examination, accepts your insurance, and verify any out-of-pocket costs. Individuals/applicants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance coverage or the financial means to cover any applicable costs.
TeamPHCA serves adults age 18 and older. Day Program eligibility depends on support needs, waiver, service authorization and program fit.
What does the individual want to explore, practice or achieve?
We review the current plan, supervision needs and accommodations.
Applicable PFDS, Community Living and Consolidated Waiver services.
Attendance, route availability and start date are confirmed through intake.
Clear answers for individuals, families and Supports Coordinators considering TeamPHCA Day Program.
Full-Time Day Program hours are 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Our part-time option is Saturdays only from 9:30 AM–3:00 PM and is currently available through our waitlist.
We recommend meeting the individual where they are. Saturday programming may be a great place to start, offering a shorter 9:30 AM–3:00 PM schedule that can help the individual become comfortable, establish a routine, build confidence, and prepare for expanded Day Program supports. Saturday-only participation is currently available through our waitlist.
